Dalam pengumuman nominasi pemain terbaik FIFA yang dirilis pada 3 September 2018, tidak ada satu pun pemain Prancis. Tiga pemain yang masuk nominasi ialah Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Luka Modric (Kroasia) dan Mohamed Salah (Mesir).

FIFA selaku penyelenggara ajang ini tidak sendirian dalam memberikan penilaian. Mereka menunjuk 13 panelis yang beranggotakan mantan pemain dan pelatih yang malang melintang di persepakbolaan internasional. Mereka didorong FIFA untuk melakukan penilaian terhadap 10 pesepakbola dalam kurun 3 Juli 2017 hingga 15 Juli 2018. Sebenarnya di daftar 10 pemain awal tersebut, ada tiga pemain Prancis yakni Raphael Varane, Kylian Mbappe dan Griezmann.

Akan tetapi, ketiganya kalah bersaing dengan Ronaldo, Salah dan Modric. Pemain terbaik FIFA sendiri akan diumumkan di London pada 24 September 2018.

Dalam sesi konferensi pers, pelatih UEA, Ludovic Batelli tampak membandingkan sepak bola Indonesia dengan Thailand.

"Kondisi di sini (Thailand) seperti Indonesia, kami telah mempersiapkan tim selama sembilan minggu dan ini kesempatan bagus untuk menguji mereka," ucap Ludovic dikutip BolaSport.com dari laman resmi FA Thailand.

UEA jelas berusaha mengambil sisi positif ajang ini untuk memudahkan mereka dalam berjuang di Piala Asia U-19 2018.

"Pada turnamen ini, kami akan belajar cara bermain lawan. Dan untuk melihat permainan dari pesaing kami," tutur Ludovic mengakhiri.

Pada Piala Asia U-19 nanti, UEA akan menghadapi timnas U-19 Indonesia pada laga terakhir fase grup di Stadion Gelora Bung Karno pada 24 Oktober 2018.

Di sisi lain, skuat Garuda Nusantara saat ini juga tengah mengadakan pemusatan latihan guna persiapan Piala Asia U-19 2018.

Skuat besutan Indra Sjafri berencana mengadakan mini turnamen dengan Thailand, China, dan satu kontestan lain antara Suriah atau Korea Selatan.

Siapa yang tidak kenal dengan Edy Rahmayadi. Sang ketua PSSI. Pasti seluruh pendukung timnas Indonesia mengenalnya. Sekarang sang ketua terpilih jadi Gubernur Sumatera Utara. Dan sudah resmi dilantik oleh pak Presiden Jokowi 5 September 2018 kemarin.


Padahal sang ketua PSSI masih sah menjabat. Kalau benar Pak Edy Rahmayadi tidak menanggalkan salah satu jabatannya yaitu meninggalkan jadi gubernur Sumatera Utara, berarti Edy Rahmayadi sudah melanggar aturan FIFA. Yang berarti PSSI bisa "TAMAT' PSSI akan di bekukan FIFA.

Peraturan FIFA sudah jelas bahwa tidak boleh ketua sepak bolanya di suatu negara merangkap jabatan sebagai Gubernur, Mentri atau yang lainnya yang ada berbau politik. Gubernur tidak boleh campur tangan mengurus sepakbola. Masih segar ingatan kita konflik Menpora dengan PSSI kemarin? Akibatnya fatal Timnas dilarang bermain di ajang resmi FIFA. Bahkan di liga domestik ada dua liga yaitu IPL dan ISL.


Bukan itu saja bahkan pemain menganggur. Karena liga dihentikan Menpora. Banyak pemain ikut liga tarkam untuk menyambung hidup. Banyak aspek yang sudah kehilangan pekerjaan mulai pedagang asongan, tukang parkir dan banyak yang lainnya.
